Lisa Welter has a Master’s in Transformational Leadership from Bethel Seminary, is a veteran of the United States Air Force, a trained family mediator by Mitchell-Hamline School of Law, and has over 20 years of change management leadership in government/military, healthcare, church and nonprofit sectors.
Her most recent work, The Connected Kids Initiative, included nine organizations developing a collective impact model to address the overwhelmed child welfare system. Lisa served as the Community Care Director at Eagle Brook Church, America’s 9th largest church, spoken at the United States White House to promote child/maternal welfare through faith communities, and is working to develop a statewide answer to Minnesota’s most complex problem, child welfare. Lisa is currently the MN State Director of Safe Families for Children and Founder of the Connected Kids Initiative.
