Bobby Robins
Bobby Robins is the Director of Pro and College Ministry with FCA Hockey in Alexandria, MN. In 2014 he became the oldest rookie to ever make an NHL Opening Day Roster with the Boston Bruins after 8 seasons in the Minor Leagues and Europe. He is married to his wife Samantha, and they have a 6 year old daughter.
John Olver (JO)
Coach Olver joins NorthStar Christian Academy with 38+ years of professional, college, and junior coaching experience. After playing college hockey at the University of Michigan, JO started his coaching career behind the bench and as a general manager in the AHL, ECHL, WCHL, NCAA Div 1, BCHL, and WSHL.
Joshua Freitas
Josh grew up in Sandy Hook, Connecticut, played high school hockey at a New England Boarding school then played college hockey at Bethel University (NCAA DIII). After Bethel he served as a Youth pastor at Westside Movement church and was and Assistant Coach at Bethel University with the Men’s Ice Hockey team and ran the Strength & Conditioning for both Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey.
Rylan Galiardi
Rylan comes to NCA after a four-year stint with Sioux Falls in the USHL where in 2019 they won a Clark Cup Championship. A 2010 graduate of Minnesota State – Mankato, he was captain his senior year and named MSU Athlete of the Year. He spent time playing in the AHL, ECHL, and the EIHL in Great Britain, winning an ECHL Kelly Cup in his rookie year.
Tim Jackman
Tim Jackman is a 9 year NHL veteran and new Head Coach with the Northstar Christian Academy Knights U16 team. Tim grew up in North Dakota, played for hockey at the University of Minnesota Mankato, and then turned pro shortly thereafter. Tim played for multiple teams over his career, including most notably the Calgary Flames and Anaheim Ducks. He has a wonderful wife, Chelsey, and three children.
