Andre Mooney is a Professor of Theology at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to his work at GCU, Andre is also an Owner of Armour Pickleball. He coaches the GCU Pickleball Team and is an International Pickleball Teaching Professional and Ambassador for the sport. He also serves in the United States Air Force Reserve and is a Chaplain for the 943rd Rescue Group out of Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. He trains Christian Counseling in the Military in the areas of Divorce Prevention & Marriage Enhancement, Sexual Assault Prevention & Response, and Critical Incident Stress Management.
Roles that Andre has had in the past would include, Pastor at Compass Church in Goodyear, AZ, Chaplain for the Milwaukee Brewers, Devotion Writer for Major League Baseball, Chaplain for the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke AFB, Collegiate Athletic Director, Football Coach, Basketball Coach, and Adjunct Faculty Member for Ottawa University and Rio Salado College. He and his wife Tanya also spent four years in North Dakota doing mission ministry to the Ojibwa (Chippewa) Nation, and teaching at Dakota College.

Andre loves his opportunity to integrate faith with learning. “Teaching Christian Worldview allows me the privilege of shaping my students and equipping them to see the world through a Christian lens with timeless Biblical principles that honor God and benefit humanity”.
Andre and his wife Tanya have three children, and five granddaughters. Tanya is an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona and Grand Canyon University. She also started and runs a non-profit company, Elevate One, whose mission is to share the love of Christ through the sport of Pickleball.
