Dr. Sammy Wanyonyi – Immigration, Globalization & Jesus

Immigration and globalization are two hot topics impacting our world today. Like all major cities and economies of the world, these issues are impacting and changing communities all around us in Minnesota. Dr. Sammy Wanyonyi, lead evangelist for SHINE and visionary behind the Merge initiative speaks on God’s vision for this moment and how followers of Jesus can reach the nations around us with the Good News of the Kingdom that ushers in revival and lasting transformation.

Born in a small Kenyan village, he felt a call to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to the nations at the age of eight. Since founding SHINE in 2005, Sammy and the SHINE team have preached the Good News of Jesus to millions of people in North America, Africa, and Asia. Sammy earned his BA in Cross-Cultural Studies from Bethany Global University and holds both a Master of Divinity and Doctorate in Global and Contextual Leadership from Bethel University, St. Paul. He is married to his wife Suzanne and together they have three children.

• Guests will be greeted as they come in and asked a series of questions about COVID symptoms
• Tables will be positioned 6 feet or more apart
• We will seat 6 people per table
• Broadway Ballroom staff will be wearing masks
• Lunch will be plated and served – no buffet
• Attendees are encouraged to wear masks when not eating or drinking
