Randy Mortensen, Executive Vice President of the Global Ag Business Unit, at Lighting Science Group, has 25 years of experience in sales and management. Randy’s career has included chief executive officer, chief operating officer, and vice president roles in a variety of industries, including banking, financial services, energy, telecommunications, and service industries. His understanding of organizational development, sales and marketing, finance and team building has been gained in both privately held and public companies.
He served as Vice President of Sales and Operations for Energy Masters International, an unregulated energy services company, a subsidiary of a $10 billion utility company based in Minneapolis. The current LED lighting trends very closely model the business opportunities and rapid market acceptance he guided in that position. Mortensen recently celebrated a ten-year anniversary as President of World Wide Village, a non-profit organization providing clean water, education, sanitation, healthcare, and job creation to communities in Haiti, the Bahamas, India, and Liberia. Mortensen also served as Chief Executive Officer of Water Monitor International, a technology development company.
A native of Pipestone, MN, Randy holds a business degree, enjoys golf, is a private pilot and presently participates on three boards of directors. He serves on the Global Impact Leadership Team at his church, is active in the Christ-centered recovery movement, and founded the Human Trafficking Coalition. He’s a member of the President’s Task Force on Puerto Rico, participates on the Clinton Foundation’s Haiti Action Network and the Clinton Global Initiative – America. He lives in Melbourne, Florida, is married to Patricia and has one son Joel.
